Many websites load dozens of cookies before you have read a sentence. This one stores a single item, and it stays on your device.
The one thing we keep
When the banner appears and you choose to accept or decline, your browser saves that answer in local storage, a small storage area that belongs to this website on your computer or phone. Its only job is to stop the banner from asking the same question on every page you open.
- What it contains
- Your choice from the banner, nothing more. No identifier, no history of pages viewed.
- Who can read it
- Only pages from abplastech.com, inside your own browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
- How long it lasts
- Until you remove it yourself or clear your browser's site data.
Why local storage and not a cookie
A classic cookie travels back to the server with every request. Local storage does not, which means your banner answer never leaves the device it was made on. For a single yes-or-no preference, that felt like the tidier engineering choice.
What is absent
There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no social media cookies on this site. Fonts and images come from our own domain. The exceptions are a small number of articles with an embedded Google map of a business they mention, or a YouTube video: when you reach one of those, Google or YouTube may place or read their own cookies under their own rules. The broader picture is on Data Protection.
Removing the stored choice
Clearing it is harmless; the banner will simply ask again on your next visit.
- Open your browser's settings and find the section on privacy, site data or website storage.
- Search for abplastech.com in the list of sites holding data.
- Delete the stored data for this site, or clear all browsing data if you prefer a fresh start.
Private or incognito windows usually discard local storage when they close, so in those windows the banner may appear each time.
